Vredestein

Vredestein Banden B.V. is an international Dutch tyre company engaged in the development , production, marketing, sales and distribution of tyres (passenger car tyres, agricultural tyres, bicycle tyres and industrial tyres). Vredestein’s history dates back to 1908 when a rubber business for the manufacturing of heels and soles was started in Loosduinen , the Netherlands. Since 2005  Vredestein is a part of the Amtel-Vredestein group. Amtel-Vredestein has production facilities in Enschede (the Netherlands), Kirov (Russia),  Moscow (Russia), and Voronezh (Russia).

 
The main R&D of the Amtel-Vredestein group is located in Enschede. Amtel-Vredestein has also a small R&D department in Moscow. In this department several people are working which were formerly employed at the Moscow Tire Institute. This Institute did in the past all the development for the whole Soviet Union tyre industry and have connections all over the country.
